Henry Roe Cloud Conference
Subject
Digital Event Schedule for a Conference held at Yale University
Description
The Henry Roe Cloud Conference is hosted every few years by the Association of Native Americans at Yale to celebrate Native excellence and to honor Henry Roe Cloud (Winnebago), himself, as an alumnus who graduated from Yale College in 2010. Henry Roe Cloud was also Yale’s first Native American graduate through Yale College. In 2017, ANAAY put together three days’ worth of events to help celebrate him and students on campus. They started off with a Pierson College Tea featuring Sam Deloria in conversation with Professor Ned Blackhawk and ended with the kick off to Yale’s 6th annual powwow. The event schedule is decorated with images of Henry Roe Cloud and features a variety of colors to help the words of the events stand out to to the viewer. The events also show the Native American Cultural Center’s involvement in the events and the inclusion of Yale Native Alumni.
