Subject

Yale Asian American Studies Task Force

Description

In the fall of 2014, the Yale Asian American Studies Task Force was revived to alert Yale administration to the lack of Asian American Studies classes at the university. In partnership with the AACC, the Asian American Studies Task Force was able to plan the first Asian American Studies Conference in years in February of 2015. The following April, Yale AASTF launched the photo campaign, “No Lux, No Veritas,” which compared Yale’s Asian American Studies offerings with that of other Universities. Here, Yale student Titania Nguyen holds a sign that reads, "Yale Will Not Teach Me: Asian-Black Historical Solidarity"
