We Demand - the Next Yale Coalition

At midnight on Thursday, November 12, 2015, over 200 students marched to President Peter Salovey's home on Hillhouse Avenue to passionately read and to deliver their demands, underscoring the need to increase support and resources for Yale Cultural Centers and the Ethnicity, Race, and Migration Program, to rename Calhoun College, to remove Nicholas and Erika Christakis from their administrative positions, and to hire mental health professionals of color. The Next Yale coalition issued these demands with the intent of creating a better Yale that supports and ensures the safety of Indigenous students and students of color.
